ok, so it’s not official yet but greg kot (chicago tribune) broke the news awhile ago that this is the case..
the event is august 1-3 and tickets are going to run $200/$300 (or more depending on when you buy them -check out the brilliant/evil ticket fare scheme they’ve come up with.. basically they will keep raising the ticket price indefinitely – or rather until they reach the limits of what people will pay – genius but still evil) + airfare + 3 nights hotel in dt chicago
if you’re not up for it – nin will be playing in minneapolis august 2nd (the night before they play lollapalooza)
why wouldn’t you want to go to this show?
$65 might be a bit steep for some folks but, seriously how often to you get a chance to see a show like this?
. . . . . . . .edit (04.28.08). . . . . . . .
this show us canceled – due to sly’s *ahem* exhaustion problem.. too bad :(

entrants are asked to design posters (on as many briefs as they wish) .. the winner is chosen by the jury of graphic design rockstars and the winning poster goes to the charities (to use for potential campaigns) and is exhibited around the world :)
check out the dates/locations of the free shows on PASTE’s site (this magazine includes a free music sampler cd in every issue)

Nine Inch Nails presents Ghosts I – IV, a brand new 36 track instrumental collection available right now. Almost two hours of new music composed and recorded over an intense ten week period last fall, Ghosts I – IV sprawls Nine Inch Nails across a variety of new terrain.
Trent Reznor explains, “I’ve been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn’t have made sense until this point”..”I’m very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts.”-nin.com
the deadline for the design is kinky / people like us semi-permanent 2008 design contest is fast approaching, for those who care to compete… this is actually a pretty cool contest and payment is (allegedly) 2 weeks after winner announcement
